Many activities can be done in Glacier National Park at different locations therein. It is comprised of a staggering one million plus acres of land. The park has rivers, trails, windy ridges and numerous roads. Many of the roads are bicycle-friendly . You can also encounter bears and cubs. You can usually rent some bear spray, and, if ever in mild danger of arousing the bears, making plenty of noises is a small preemptive measure to cancel any threats. The park itself is located far away from major cities. Kalispell, Montana hosts the closest airport. Guides are available for tours around the park. They help transport visitors through the main roads with the renown red jammers (restored vehicles from the 1930s).
Regarding Climate in the Park
The park is large in size. So, it is obvious to understand that you can expect to encounter major and minor climates. Snowfall is common at any time of the year. In general, for the tourist seasons, expect to find temperatures of 60 to 70 F for daytime and lows of 40F at nighttime.
