We have written a series of articles on their top five reasons to try various activities over the last few weeks. We have found that from team sports to relaxing pastimes there are many ways to enjoy yourself while putting your health first. This week we thought we’d take a look at reasons why people love to play golf and what this activity could do for you.
Suitable for all ages and abilities
Golf is fun for all ages. You can take the game at your own pace and develop your skills, young or old, and it’s a great weekend pastime for the family. Teaching younger children to play will encourage patience, confidence and hand-eye coordination, and it’s gentle enough for the older members of your family too.
There is always room for improvement on the golf course so you can work on your game and satisfy a competitive spirit with this sport as you get to know your local course.
What a great way to enjoy the outdoors! Golf is a truly relaxing and invigorating sport all rolled into one. Getting away from your busy everyday life and onto the golf course provides a wonderful escape and a chance to enjoy nature.
Networking and socialising
Becoming a regular at your local golf course is a great way to build relationships both socially and in business. You will often find yourself spending as much time chatting in the club house as you do playing on the course.
Golf is one of the few activities where the worse you play, the better the exercise it gives you! Having worked your way around the course you will suddenly realise that you’ve burned more calories in an afternoon than you did all week. Have fun!
